Make a Bowl – The Soup is Love Project is a fundraiser for Off Center Arts. No experience is necessary! There will be someone on hand that can help you. Then in 2020 we’ll have the 3rd Annual Soup is Love reveal to show off the collection of bowls made, sell bowls, enjoy some soup (not in the bowl you buy though!).

Sugar Skull Ring – Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead: the time we celebrate the departed. Some adorn altars with flowers and some place the ornate sugar skull on graves to encourage the departed to come celebrate. This month’s brand new “Make it at Meltdown” class is a sugar skull ring to wear and cherish and carry the memory of departed loved ones every day. Create your very own unique sugar skull and adorn it with designs, flowers, and stones. Create Your Own Collage Class and Dia De Los Muertos – Gail Shannon loves Autumn in the Land of Enchantment so once again she is winging her way here from Arizona to help you make up your dream collage–it can be your own design, one of Laura Heine’s patterns (we’ve got tons), or you can celebrate the holidays of October by cutting up some of our bright, fun Dia de los Muertos and Halloween fabrics. Begin collecting the fabrics and colors you imagine for your collage. The size is up to you, however, 16″ x 20″ and larger will be easier to arrange.

Posca Paint Marker Mask Painting Mini Class – At Artisan in Albuquerque we are excited to host Mia Fesmire from MacPherson Arts for our next offering. Inspired by dia de los muertos sugar skull face painting, you will be creating your own unique day of the dead paper mache mask. This will give you the opportunity to work with Posca paint markers!
