Mad Skills: Workshops March 2020

¡HAH! Happy Arte Hour – This year, in the spirit of the NHCC’s 20th Anniversary, we have invited back some of the artists that have contributed to the success of Happy Arte Hour over the years. Many of these artists were part of past exhibitions or have pieces of art in our permanent collection. On the first Thursday of the month, NHCC invites adults for artistic fun in a relaxed social setting, which includes snacks, refreshments, and beer & wine for sale from Pop Fizz. This is a great opportunity for friends to hang out, a unique date night option, or a place to come solo and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. On March 5, Micaela Seidel will join us for a collage workshop! During this workshop, you will enter a whirlwind of shape and color. You will play with positive and negative shapes to construct simple but amazing still life collages and surreal self-portraits. Micaela will introduce you to one of her favorite pastimes; the “glue-draw-glue” technique and we will go beyond ready-made collage papers and make some of our own.  Come away with new approaches as well as something intriguing to hang on the wall.
